The Directorate manages the site facilities, ground support equipment, checkout systems, and ground transportation systems.  As appropriate, the directorate provides institutional and technical services in direct support of Constellation Project Office, Launch Services Program, Shuttle payload, and ISS customers.  Logistics support is provided for all areas of responsibility.  The directorate acts as the ISS program’s agent for the management and integration of the overall ground processing for all United States launched Space Station elements from manufacture and assembly through verification, launch, and landing.  Expertise is also utilized to support on-orbit operations during assembly and operation of the ISS.  The directorate provides Space Station, Shuttle payload, and payload carrier expertise for launch and payload processing, payload customer outreach/advocacy, and NASA future initiatives.
