Project Integration Division provides the multidiscipline engineering expertise for the directorate.  The division performs this function through coordination with systems engineers in the Engineering Directorate to assure that launch site technical and support requirements are adequately defined, integrated into workable procedures/practices, and close-loop tracked.  The division leads the directorate’s technical, cost, schedule, and safety risk management initiatives through formal boards and informal intra-directorate integration forums at KSC.  The division also plans and performs/oversees integrated engineering activities for ISS and utilization, is the UB technical interface to the Shuttle and ISS programs, and is the directorate’s primary engineering interface with the KSC Engineering Directorate.  Additionally, the Project Integration Division provides project management of utilization, launch-on-need, MPLM, and spacecraft propellant loading projects.  The division manages the KSC ISS transition process, including supporting the KSC Transition Working Group and Agency-wide transition processes and boards.  The division also provides for the management of the Commercial Orbital Transportation Systems Program for the Center.
